SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

As the saying goes, “Think Globally, Act Locally.” RJS acts locally by supporting the Torrey Pines Association.  Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is located within San Diego city limits and yet remains one of the wildest stretches of land on our Southern California coast.  Because of the efforts and foresight of the people in this area, 2000 acres of land are as they were before San Diego was developed – with the chaparral plant community, the rare and elegant Torrey pine trees, miles of unspoiled beaches and coastal bluffs, and the Los Penasquitos Lagoon.

The Torrey Pines Association was founded in 1950 to encourage public interest in, and support for, the preservation of the rare Torrey pine trees and their scenic refuge.  We contribute a portion of our proceeds to the Torrey Pines Association toward the preservation, education, and social programs efforts at Torrey Pine State Reserve.
